Ties with Tradition

Aprons donated by Macedonian Women from the Illawarra will be displayed within the FCA Gallery at the School of Arts and Design from the University of Wollongong. The exhibition will be open from the 8th to 24th of April 2010.
The exhibition features a vivid selection of Macedonian aprons and the stories of the women who made them - their lives, creativity, villages and traditions. It was first shown at the Power House Museum at Darling Harbor in Sydney as part from Sydney Design week and now it is at Wollongong University as part of Diversity Week. For more information about the venue and the exhibition itself you can visit the University page by clicking here or the Migration Heritage web site here.
